John R. Brock
Mr. Brock graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (BBA – Accounting and MBA – Finance) before beginning his career in Houston, Texas with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. As a CPA and Senior Audit Manager, he supervised the audits of major publicly held corporations.
Mr. Brock’s background includes serving as an Investment Banker of PaineWebber, acquiring real estate for company sponsored limited partnerships and then as Senior Vice President – Marketing for proprietary real estate products. He then became President of the Houston Economic Development Council, a private/public partnership promoting the City of Houston on a global basis.
Mr. Brock then served as a Partner, Office Manager and head of the Global Energy Practice with Korn Ferry International, a leading international executive search partnership. Most recently, he formed John R. Brock & Associates, teaching accredited seminars for the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, consulting with young professionals and, serving as Chief Financial Officer of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas.
Mr. Brock is married with two daughters and four grandchildren. He actively participates on several private and not for profit boards including the Spirit Golf Association, Amazing Place, and the senior council of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. He also served on public company boards including Talens and WH Energy Services, both of which have been sold.
